Founded in 2009, BACOR, Inc. is a Los Angeles-based company which developed and patented Handbag Handcuff®. BACOR, Inc. oversees its Asia-based manufacturing. BACOR, Inc. is growing its brand and related product lines while expanding to select retail locations.
Our Mission
We aim to free the world of purse dump, one bag at a time. While we are aware that this modest goal will not resolve global issues, we do know the mighty Handbag Handcuff® will deliver you peace of mind in a simple click. That alone is worth celebrating. And yet, there’s much more than can be done to make the world a better place. This is why we are dedicated to growing our business in a socially and environmentally responsible way.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation® Thriver’s Circle Partner
Five percent (5%) of the purchase price of every Cerise Pink Handbag Handcuff® sold year-round will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) to support breast cancer research. An independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, BCRF advances the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $500 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship, and metastasis, making it the largest private funder of breast cancer research and metastatic breast cancer research in the world. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible non-profits and the highest-related breast cancer organization in the United States.

Carbonfund.org Foundation
We partner with Carbonfund.org Foundation and support their clean-air technology projects. Each calendar year, BACOR, Inc./Handbag Handcuff® purchases metric tonnes (MTs) of carbon-emission offsets. We have allocated these offsets to fund reforestation and sustainability initiatives.

Covenant House California
Covenant House, the largest privately funded shelter for homeless youth, offers an open door to thousands of homeless kids in 31 cities in the United States, Canada, and Latin America... providing them with a safe environment, education, employment, and a chance to become independent and self-sufficient. Covenant House California, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, operates as a residential multi-service agency in the heart of Hollywood as well as in Oakland and Berkeley, and has helped nearly 200,000 homeless youth since 1988. Handbag Handcuff® founder Beth Corets has served on its Board of Directors and Advisory Board. She has participated in the annual CHC Executive Sleep Out since 2013, spending the night on the streets in Hollywood to raise funds and awareness, raising over $90,000 for CHC’s programs. CHC consistently earns a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
